RE: [papercreters] earth oven and use of papercrete

The old quebec bread ovens were made of mud mixed with long grass spread about one foot thick over a sapling frame.  A small fire was lit initially than progressively larger fires.  The sapling frame of course just burnt away.  Mud was kept on hand to fill any cracks that came along during the initial curing process.  Once the oven was well cured a small roof was built over it to protect it from the weather.  They lasted for years.

Greetings,
I think it would be perfect, I am thinking about doing it myself. Just
protect it from the flames, while it doesn't catch fire, it does get ruined.

Bright Blessings,
Kim
