The steel in these windows is a rusted completely away in some place,
many panes have been removed to install window AC units, and the window
is only single pane glass and is on the North side of the building and
with the North winds we have here in Oklahoma in the winter months, the
window would have been like an open hole. At least the papercrete will
fill the opening and insulate at the same time. Just wish it would dry
faster, maybe today will be different with my different formula.

Repair of old steel frame windows is an established thing here in the
UK, and really windows in any just about condition can be reconditioned.
At worst new steel is welded in. End users that dont want the expense of
reconditioning can use silicone to achieve a proper seal: apply cling
film to one surface and silicone to the other. Close window and let set,
then peel off the film.
