RE: [papercreters] Fireproof papercrete

its very flame resistant. it will resist a blow torch for quite a while but it will eventualy disintigrate in high heat like any other building material. you cant make a firebox with it....there are flame tests shown on youtube i think.

Subject: [papercreters] Fireproof papercrete

livinginpaper.com mentions adding boric acid and borax to papercrete
to make it fireproof.

But does anyone know if it is really fireproof.

I have an idea to use papercrete to make a firepit as I imagine it
would be cheaper and lighter than concrete, but is there such a thing
as flameproof papercrete? I have never built with papercrete before so
I'm a total noob and would appreciate any advice.
