Hey Jerry,
I like color too and got the same results of a brownish adobe color by just adding a few cans of reddish colored clay to our blocks.  (Red clay is what passes for soil up here!) We sift it and add it to the mix.  the blocks are a bit heavier but have a much nicer tone than the standard gray.

Today I got bored making several loads of papercrete. So I added some
cement coloring to the mix. 5 onces of brown color to abut 40 gallons
of papercrete mix. The result was an adobe looking block. I plan on
using this (a little lighter color) to mix up the stuco when I apply
it, I should have to only waterproof when completed, thus saving the
step of painting the final product.
