I haven't tried exactly that, but I've driven some four and five inch screws into and through papercrete. They go in without much trouble, and seem to hold well. I have hung mirrors and cabinets with 3" drywall screws into papercrete. I used quite a few on the cabinets because the screws are cheap and I wanted to make sure I didn't end up with smashed dishes.

Hey anyone,
Can you drill a regular wood screw through a 3 or four inch papercrete panel? I have big blocks but nothing that small yet and wather is not condusive to testing.
Thanks

Dave, I know it seems counter intuitive but testing thus far as well
as anecdotal evidence suggests that some compression actually
increases the R value slightly. Obviously if you get to the point
where you have no air left or begin to break the portland-PC bond that
would not hold true, but otherwise compress away.

Yup. Just be sure to clean well afterwords and build yourself a water
trap system of some sort. It will extend the life of your log splitter
(rust is hellish) and save you money on the water since you can reuse
it and get a small amount of portland recovery that way.
