Re: [papercreters] Re: I am having a tow mixer built but

I did get mine from Harbor Freight about ten years ago, and the one you link to looks like a step up in quality. Mine has a plastic pump housing, and does not have those nice built in handles for tearing the pump down. I say nice because you're going to need them with this pump if you use it without the strainer which won't pass papercrete and probably not fidobe. I downloaded the manual from the page you gave, and looking at the last couple of pages (pg19) in the parts list, notice #87, the impeller. That is what mine looks like, too. The one in George's pump has only two vanes vs. the several dozen shown here, and his are much taller. Maybe George has his manual handy and can show us his vanes. IIRC his pump comes apart with just a couple of bolts, too.

Spaceman, did you get your pump from Harbor Freight? I've been eyeing this one for pumping a fidobe mix -- not because it meets the kind of specifications you have set forth, but because I can afford it: http://www.harborfreight.com/3-full-trash-pump-with-212cc-gas-engine-68370.html Am hoping it is not the same one you bought, but please let me know what you think.
