[papercreters] papercrete mix contents-pumice seems ideal

Judith said: I read the other day about how so many scams are
being foisted on unsuspecting people who care about the environment.
When you make the blocks yourself you know what went into them.
+++++++++++++++

you bet--

there is a weirdo site where the guy shows other buildings made of
other materials ( he used to show my stuff - with his name-til I
confronted him with plagerism) and talks about the "Bride & Groom"
together again.. makes no sense, the site offers the world but no one
has ever talked to the owner, etc...just hot air promises. Newbies
find sites like this and get encouraged about the "secret mix", and
disappointed when it shows as vapor

Papercrete is an IDEA--- Judith's using pumice fines by 'accident',
on a whim to try it resulted in a superior block... they could be
sold commercially NOW for block privacy walls or other
non-house-living-in uses until the codes catch up.

Imagine a garage floor insulation or shed walls, or north wall
insulation ADDED on to the outside of an existing home, then
plastered over. so many uses!

What Judith is doing with HER version of papercrete, with the PUMICE
is very much like the Paracrete EPS + Cement Inventor...he uses
similar materials, and adds left over latex paint and other additives
to wet the "floaty" pumice so it will mix in easily ( he does not use
a tow mixer)

Having a "pumicecrete" block ( that name is already taken and does
use pumice too)
that only weighs 3 pounds is an amazing feat..and will appeal to many
women and people without physical strength to lift and mortar blocks,

But in her hot desert area the best use-- to me-- is the slipform
pours. No blocking making gear or frames, or mortaring skills needed,
no walls tilting out or bending off because you dont keep an eye or
use the plumb line.... I think it is perfect since her mix dries
quickly and is insulative as well as light to handle, and carve down
the "splooges" as they say in the Cob world..
