The basic receipe is 1-1 (cement to paper) dry by weight. If you want to add sand then 1-1-1
You can go much higher with the cement content for a more fire resistant block, It does not change the basic charastics of the material for drying. Starting out getting your feet wet with PC the 1-1 is a good place to start,
