Having a half dozen horses about is a sure way to accumulate lots of
manure. They are good at keeping the lawn area around the house
trimmed, but their little fertilizer gifts draw flies and upset the wife.

This led to the removal of these deposits to a pile behind the barn,
there to age and become organic gold for the garden. The horses ate,
the pile grew, and soon dear wife was again unhappy with me. "Can't
you hide that better until you use it?" she asked.

I gave this some thought. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I
looked to the resources I did have. A couple of planks made
a frame. An old rake handle, another plank, and the box of spare
equipment parts became a tamper. Filling the frame with the horse
bounty, I was soon turning out bricks.

The bricks in turn were stacked to form walls. For mortar, I used the
clay dust from the corral and a bit of sand. A couple of horse
blankets on a simple A-frame formed my roof. In no time, my project
was complete.

Here it comes...

I had built a sh*t brick brick sh*t house to store the manure!
