I'm very new to this, but i'm planning (if i can convince my wife) of
doing a pc retrofit to the existing house (stick construction) and
using pc blocks on the additions we are planning.
I had some framing exposed on the interior a while back (no drywall or
insulation) and as an experiment i slipformed some pc as infill. I put
a few screws into the studs as support to hold the pc in place. I love
the pc but because of shrinkage there are gaps on either side between
the pc and the studs. not good for keeping out cold. So i imagine i
would then need to go thru and fill the gaps with more pc. not a big
problem but a little more work before it is plastered.
I'm also working on designing interlocking blocks sort of lego style.
I'm trying for a pneumatic press that presses the block then drops it
and on to the next block.
The problem with any of this is time. I work mostly 12 hour days and
there's not alot of time or energy when i get home.
Thanks for all the insight i've been trying to glean from the group.
