RE: [papercreters] Re: best rear end to use for tow mixer

I think I paid around $140 for my tank that size. If I were to do it again I would try to find one of the plastic ones. I think Lex Terry ( His is the one on the livinginpaper website) told me he got his from someplace in Mexico and doesn't know where they are available. I know there are a lot of tank suppliers in this area, being that it's agricultural. I guess you better look around. I had trouble with my metal tank leaking. The seam all around the bottom leaks like crazy. Once the paper is mulched up it stops but still it's aggravating, not to mention the fact that I had to haul all my water ( that's about 200 gal a batch) and every drop represented work. Good luck. Let us know what you find. I may be building another mixer next summer and would like to try the plastic tank.

Thanks for the help. I hope to pick one up next week. I priced a galv.
metal 2x4 round stock tank at a local farm supply for $99., is this
about the norm? Where can I find one of the plastic/rubber bottle
shaped tanks I see on many papercrete sites?
