Our thoughts exactly. Might as well go Rammed Earth which we found to be expensive.

And labor has to be added as some building zones make you add all costs.

It is not environmentally friendly at those rates.  And it is darned expensive, no cost savings at all.  I don't know anyone else that uses portland at those rates.  The original houses were only 10% portland.  They had on drawback, if a fire started, they would smoulder until put out completely and it could dissolve an entire house.  There is absolutely no need to go that heavy on the portland, it is ridiculous, but to each their own.

Works out to around $1 per cubic foot, not unlike a concrete block.
Maybe I'm a little slow this morning, but where is the savings ?
