I don't see the cost savings. And labor cost is a huge element.

Cost of portland is a little more than $8, and say the rest is almost free.
Works out to around $1 per cubic foot, not unlike a concrete block.
Maybe I'm a little slow this morning, but where is the savings ?
Or is the main draw that it's "environmentally friendly" ?
