What happens when someone just wants to put up a vacation place such as a hunting camp? Do they have to go through all the official things? Kerosene lamps, candles and an outhouse are fine with me.
I can't answer that question because a hunting camp would be outside city limits and the City would have no say so, and here in Oklahoma the county only requires you to have a septic system, however portable potties are permissible but I don't know if there is a time limit on them or not. Any one living within our city limits is required to have a dumpster and before you can have a dumpster you have to have a water meter so its a catch 22. We don't require anybody to have electricity or water & sewer but we do require a dumpster (stupid huh?)
I would ask the Code enforcement officer to show me the codes that he requires.
