Want to read messages posted by Gordon Solberg? Tim Pye? Other papercrete pioneers dating all the way back to March of 2000?
It's all there on the old Papercrete News message archive.

It's got a new look, and if you sniff your monitor, I bet the group actually smells better now that it did a couple of weeks ago.
Please join me in thanking the following volunteer moderators that accepted the challenge of digging through all 21610 messages that were once overflowing that old abandoned group.
Tina, canineaficionado
Evelyn, evmonrad
Nick, pcknk
Judith, slinkygidget

Over 16,000 SPAM messages have been deleted. Over 10,000 of those spam messages were deleted by Nick, pcknk himself. Amazingly, we think he may have avoided permanent brain damage caused by that superhuman effort and spam over-exposure. Sadly, the same cannot be said for me. After deleting a few thousand spam messages, I am reduced to the intelligence level of a single cell organism. Wait... maybe that's an upgrade from where I started? I don't know. How could I know? I'm an amoeba, so I clearly don't know anthing but metabolize/divide, metabolize/divide, metabolize/divide.
We still may have a few spam message hiding here and there that our voluteer moderators have not gotten to yet, but things are drastically improved from where they were a couple of weeks ago. We'll finish cleaning up the last ones soon.
Posting new messages to Papercrete News has been disabled. We have too many active members and too much time invested here with our wonderful community on Papercreters. There is no need for anyone to change any settings. If you want to post messages or ask questions, right here on Papercreters is the place to do that.
What we have done is simply clean up that old group to make it easer for everyone to go search, read, and learn from those old messages. The old Papercrete News archives are open to the public, so you don't even have to join that group to read any message posted there if you don't feel like it.
As Gordon Solberg said, "Don't Worry, Make Slurry!"
