Hi i was watching the history chanell and saw a program about a project during ww2 where they used wood pulp and water and froze it.the fellow claimed it would stop torpedoes from the u boats. They did tests all across Canada and actulay built a house on a lake in Jasper nat park for a test,it first sank but then when they came back it was floting. On the program they did a test with with a block of ice verses a block of wood pulp and the pulp stoped a bullet. The ww2 plan was to encase a ship in this piecrete and sail it across the atlantic.Just somthing i thought the group would find interesting.
Clair.
