WHAT GREAT IDEAS.
OK I have used sticky back mesh fiber on a steel drum as the base, I did coat the drum with AE first, the fiber mesh, and dress netting stuck perfectly. you may not want too much AER on the walls, but it is very thin, the smell goes away, and you wont be living in it then. so to use AE from the can just dab it on the metal walls here and there, lay a dress netting or mesh flat bags against it, then you can do a light clay and sawdust or pc plaster, thin, and leave It bumpy, then when dry come back ion a thicker coat. as Judith says trying to brace the wall molded pieces to hold against the wall is great. use what cha' got!
on flat walls this was done in Germany and in NY by some folks. I, GR they uses bamboo, or flat sheets of large cardboard, and then layered grass matts, more thin bamboo, or burlap, and other fabrics can work too. ( canvas, heavy cotton, or porous fabric. potato and onion bags of poly are also good, just cut up flat.
sandwich walls are expensive to do in GR so they have not taken off, the guys in NY had bending and mold issues by working too late in fall to get them to dry.
so less cement and more paper can keep it light.
Yesterday I passed by a huge furniture cardboard box, may by 8' x 6', by 8" deep. I would cut the top off of the box, and use the flat inner core as the walls and weds. and incorporated the top sheet you cut off, as a middle piece maybe. doing it like a lasagna, in layers. once clay and lime, or cement are dry they don't move, and if protected they don't absorb water.
GO TO THE FRIDGGE AND WASHER STORE- or large Furn- they get boxes to recycle all the time.
I have even use large 3'x3' cardboardflats that bread loafs are placed in to carry on raqcks, they are clean, heavy duty and can be used in layers.
having a roller to lightly press the drying final panel sounds good, but not too heavy, you want the air pickets

For the BUS I would do papercrete and be sure to lime wash all along the way, so any water will not cause issues later, or paint the inside and outside with AE AT ALL JOINTS AND RIVETS TO solve the leak issue up front.

NEWGUY SAID to create an entire wall panel (prefab type) from papercrete for a project where there was a budget available to create some custom presses, what would be the downside? If we used a rolling press, would that work or would we lose density down the line? I have a lot of flexibility with how to build this project. I would really like to reach out and do something unique. Do you think a machine could be made that would make strong, long lasting, fireproof, waterproof wall panels in lengths as large as say, 20 x 10 feet?
