First of all this is my first post, but I follow the messages closely and have learned a lot.I have a lot of brown paper feed sacks as I'm a horse trainer, and I would like to use these in papercrete blocks to build an apartment in a metal warehouse building that i have.Metal roof and concrete floor are alredy there so no weather isues.
My problem is pulping the feed sacks, they do not emulsify in water even when soaked a long time,Im useing the bucket and drill mixer, and would like to know if a tow mixer will work before I build one.I have made test blocks with this paper but it dosent break down, workes best when mixed with newspaper. HELP

Rick I don't know anything about horse feed sacks, but if they are like cat or dog food sacks they probably have a plastic liner between two layers of paper. Also some of these have a glossy outer surface probably some sort of water repeler. I don't use my dog or cat food sacks for papercrete because of the above reasons. I aslo don't know if the tow mixer would work any better than your drill and bucket.
Sorry
Bob
