There is a pdf of patent drawings of the guts of a disintegrator at freepatentsonline.com though you have to have a free account to look at it. If that link doesn't work I'll put a copy of the file online for reference. Also, look here for a description of how one manufacturer's works.
It's a wicked looking beast, for sure. I think one of these is going on the tuit list somewhere near the top. I'm seeing some 14" circular saw blades on a shaft, between some steel bars and mounted in an enclosure. Shouldn't be too hard to make one.
