Here is a link to a site for construction of a press for pressing soil http://openfarmtech.org/index.php?title=CEB_Prototype_1_Fab , I really believe it is over kill for PC because soil alone requires so much pressure to keep it together but PC , on the other hand has portland cement to keep it together and all that is required is to remove as much of the water as possible and the portland cement will do the rest. It is the water in PC that makes it shrink while drying, remove the water and it will hold its shape after pressing.
