Re: [papercreters] Looking for a new place to call home.

Organic vegetables are a hard sell in this area. Houston will gobble up
all you can grow, though at a good price. If you don't mind driving
there once a week, they have great, year round markets. We did this for
a few years, but with MCS, the pollution of Houston was affecting my
health too much. It is slow going to get a CSA going, but we are
persevering and it is growing. The south end of the county is not a bad
drive to Houston, being 45 minutes closer, but watch out for local deed
restrictions. It is also more expensive. There is not a lot of variety
in employment here. Mostly the mushroom plant and the jail system.
Good, honest welders are in sharp demand by the ranchers. Self employed
works well here. Worth a look. If you want more info, contact me off list.
