[papercreters] Re: papercrete on Faswall blocks

I have not seen Faswall construction before today, but it looks
similar enough to papercrete that adhesion should be a non-issue. I
would suspect you can simply spray PC onto it in layers as thick as
you like. Obviously, you will want to test this out with your
particular mix, and I would lean toward one of the mixes using latext
paint in it for 'stickiness'. Since you are simply using it for
stucco / insulation there should be no code issues, but check with
your local building inspector before you get started to be sure.

All the usual caveats [(tm) slurryguy] apply. Mix some yourself long
before you need to use it. Make sure you have the proper equipment and
materials to mix the amount you need. Safety first. Make sure you
consider the fact that if you apply 4" of stucco you will be reducing
the square footage by 1 for every 3 linear foot you apply this to.
Given that fact, I would use 3-4" on the exterior and 1/2" or so on
the interior walls to match textures and for sound reduction.
