Use the clay. It may take longer to set up but will be fine. As to amounts I would say experiment. I'm sure others in the group will have more specific amounts for you. I used clay a long time ago and liked the results but I don' remember how much I put in.

if you use lime do you need cement in the papercrete mix? what would i use if i didnt want to you store bought cement? , i live in alabama so red clay is abuntant, i was think of using , paperslurry ,sand, and lime?
