[papercreters] Re: Water permeable paint for papercrete.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am not in a hurry to color the outside... will be busy for quite some time with the inside, so I have time to experiment.

I like the coffee idea, and I will look around for some iron sulfate. The local coffee shops give away used coffee grounds for use in gardens. I think I will boil some of this and see how it turns out.

I will probably whitewash in the meantime to even out the color. I imagine I can stain the whitewash later... will probably try mixing whitewash with the coffee beforehand to see how that works out as well.

I will let everyone know how it turns out.

There is a lot on vapor permeable paint, but that will not really help with this application as I want the water to soak in. I may just leave it unpainted, but it looks kind of grey and blotchy so it would be nice if I could even out the color at least. Also I want it to be a slightly dark color so that it blends in to the woods a bit.
