ok i am designing at the moment but when laying out dome layers in 3d started guessing then figured i'd ask
ok on papercrete ..dome 35-47 what ever i can get a air form second for cheap. to be used on the interior and resused/resold.
start and use a stub wall of high cement/mineral layer
ok just guessing on this but was thinking to include 1/2 hardware cloth to prevent cracks i guessed 2 inches from surface.. should i go 1/2 inch? 1 inch?(<<--would be a pain to attach) 3 inch?
start filling with more standard papercrete perhaps with borax out of paranora
place a layer of 1 inch chicken wire at ~ 6 inch should this be tied by wire to the hardware cloth? would this be nessicary?
is it nessicary to put rebar in i was thinking at 1/2 way point .. like 1 foot of 2 foot wall
annother layer of 1 inch chicken wire ~6 inches from the outside. i am sure i wount get any thicknesses exact.
an aditional layer of 1/2 inch chicken wire at 2inches from exterior.. then high cement/mineral content layer on the exterior
ok now i kinda half asked .. is rebar nessicarry or just to tie it into the footing? how is the best orentation (non engineers that we are) should it be crossed over the top or rather around the area that the pop up skylight/vent will be in the top of the dome.
how many layer of chicken wire is nessicary . since this will be supporting rood/wind load/ idk snow if i do a northern dome as a test lol. i was thinking that since PC is 'soft' anything harsh enough to need rebar support will of deformed the PC instead of loading the rebar. or have i missed something
are cracks really a concern even as a slim concern. if i need to even bother trying to re-enforce to prevent cracks. it might help support any load from screwing stuff to it also?
thanks again :)
