RE: [papercreters] Re: PC Heaven

Only pulping with the power washer and mixing with a motar mixer or if I/m feeling my oats by hand with a shovel which is faster...thanks, all, for info on removal tool but I'm looking for something more like a, brass screw ring. hollow on the inside and 1 1/4 diameter remover...I'm thinking a pair of lineman's pliers that could work in reverse...great idea about the shorter wand though...as far as building blocks a powerwasher would probably get kinda messy with a 55gl drum but it'd be much faster than the drill set-up and a lot more fun! I know I could go back through the archives (in fact I am doing that one at a time starting with the first post) but would appreciate if my memory could be refreshed on this subject. Are you pulping the paper with the power washer or mixing the entire batch of papercrete? I am now looking into the simplest way to make a stationary mixer, something I could use with kids to make papercrete for little projects. 5 gal bucket to 55 gal barrel quantities. Thought it would be fun for kids to make large lightweight building blocks to make forts with.

Sincerely, Judith

Nice pictures. For the sprayer, have you tried an easy out? It's sort of a backwards screw used for removing stripped bolts or screws.  I want to shorten the tube on my sprayer but with a potential 4,000 psi I think I want a stainless steel nipple, not something I can pick up at a big box store. The long wand is great for sweeping the bottom of the barrel but mostly a shorter gun would be more convenient. I'm gonna be covered with pulp anyway, might as well stick my arm in it to sweep the bottom.

Yeah, keep up the very good work, SG     : P

Hi All, guess it's time for a yearly scouting report. Finished the 500+ gls PC water tank per the last outpost report... using a power washer and 170 gl feeding tub...but in my exuberance in the process of making bricks from left over materials I broke the wand... at the brass 1 1/4 inch screw on point on the gun...haven' t fixed it yet,,,can't figure out how to unscrew what's left in the gun...anyway water tank is fine, just waiting to plaster when the seasonals abide...just a note on the BB ball court I poured a few 4in thick 4x4 slabs in the dirt 15%portland, 85 paper...a few weeks later I walked on it jumped on it and it gave just a little...the first thing that came to mind was a playing surface...just a thought...Oh and thanks again for one the best groups on the internet and keep up the very good work.
