Jerry's question invites more questions.
Is it structurally safe to make a bond
beam out of anything but concrete or wood?
Am I correct in saying the pc shrinks away from everything?
Or does it shrink until a certain percentage of portland is
added, and then it stabilizes dimensionally? Or does the
presence of cellose, which swells and shrinks in
water mean that there will always be shrinkage?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Jerry asked this Quick question: " Then it occured to me that I could use the papercrete to make the bond beam. What characteristics does papercrete have with rebar inside? What I am worried about is the shrinkage that I see when the block forms are drying." |
