[papercreters] Re: Papercrete and building permits

Well I'm not living there yet, but someday would be nice:) I've got this remote lot in Mohave county Az, with a view of the Grand Canyon, 5 mile hike to the rim, power is 13 miles away and water is 5000 ft down, but what a view. Mohave county has gotten serious about permits, even if your in the boonies. Have not spoken with building inspector yet, I don't think I'll say papercrete because I think that would make him skeptical, I was thinking aerated concrete composite blocks, a nice technical name he'd probably feel comfortable with:) Been reading everything I can on this subject for past few weeks, I'm sold on it, going to see a papercrete home this weekend. There are several other steps before I get to construction but I think I'm going to start work on a mixer soon.
