[papercreters] Re: Minimising shrink

Dear NT,
My thinking runs along the following:
1. I regard a standard mix of papercrete as one that has equal weight of dry paper and cement and has 10 % of their combined weight added as sand.[ Wet sand will not roll if you try to roll it in your hand while wet clay will roll.]
2. To avoid shrinkage you could try to increase paper so that it is 1.5 to 2 times the weight of cement and add 10 % sand to the total weight of paper and cement. You should run the mix for a longer time in the tow mixer to ensure that paper is finely shredded.
Regards
Ashok
