[papercreters] more experimental ideas.

I joined this group a month ago and have mostly been lurking trying to learn from
everybody's posts. As I have talked to DH about what i am finding, he has caught the bug and
is now interested in trying some of our own experiments.
one of the things we want to try is creating siding panels. the advantage being cost, fire
resistance and cost. Some of the options we are trying to figure out includes the viability of
using blow-in fiberglass insulation as part of the mix. In fibercrete kind of mixes do the
fibers (paper or other) substitute for reinforcement wires? I know that having more than a
certain percentage of paper fiber means shrinkage and loss of fire proofing. the use of latex
paint for coloring was discussed in an article about canadian road building and that it does
some good things for flexibility and durability. So I think we will be using salvaged paint in
our mix as well.
IS there a website or has some one put together a formulation sheet from the various recipes
they have tried.
Also we live in the interior of Alaska so I would really like to know anything for others in the
cold climates.
Thanks for any thoughts or help,
Kat
