Do you have cell phone coverage where you're at? Even marginal coverage? I have three towers in a 8 mile radius, two are almost on top each other on a hill to the west. The other's on a ridge east of us. The signal's so poor I only get one, maybe two bars on my cell phone and can't always dial out. I don't have enough signal strength to have wireless broadband without an external antenna, but with the antenna/booster I get 7 bars on my wireless connection.
Go to 3gstore.com and get their 800 number. Call and find out if you have coverage in your area. I'd say use their utility to see if you have coverage, but it would take a week for you to download the charts and maps.
