[papercreters] Papercrete

I'm confused. Did I send you and email yesterday about my project in Abiquiu? Slurryguy forwarded me some emails and I tried to contact the people but I can't find a sent message to you. In that case someone is puzzling about why I mentioned my having a dachshund. Oh well. Anyway, I'm in northern New Mexico building a papercrete house. I got the walls almost done and got red tagged (stop work order) when a neighbor called for an inspection and brought attention to me. I plan to finish after the heat is off but for now will switch to something else. If you are in the area and would like to come by let me know. I'm in Abiquiu, about 40 miles north of Santa Fe. It gets cold here in the winter, sometimes into the single digits and is extremely windy in the spring so climate is a factor. I think the most important considerations when building with papercrete are to keep your lower courses well off the ground and to have deep roof overhangs. I know the sound (can't think of the word) insulation (?) is phenominal. If I'm working on the walls from the inside and the phone, which is outside but only 12 feet away rings I can't hear it. It's really exciting to see so many people realizing what a fantastic material papercrete is. I look forward to hearing from you. Judith
