I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I said I would edit it. I don't think most of it applies to what I want to do. But doesn't it seem grossly unfair to be so limited in what we can do with our own land?
I can hear the law-abiders giving their reasons now..........but as for me, I just want a little cabin to call my own.
Time will tell where all this is going. I have an offer to put up a house on a friend's land where there would be no inspectors getting in the way. But that kind of defeats the purpose of having my own place if it's on someone else's land.

Wow! Looking at that code book and contemplating building a house makes one want to run screaming to the mountains and live in a tipi. Lots of luck trying to get a papercrete structure approved. And that's supposedly just a little town, Think how much more things you'd have to comply with in a big town or city or populous county.
