[papercreters] Re: Sealants

Robert - Thanks for sharing this latex option.
Hope you dont mind some questions: So, adding latex to the mix is
more effective than painting it over the top? How much latex do you
add? Have you tested the pc/latex mix to confirm that it is indeed
waterproof? I have access to a LOT of discarded latex paint, so this
could be a good option. How thick a layer of the latex/pc do you put
on the outside?

I live in CO.

Mikey - how much elastomeric paint to you add? How thick a layer of
the elastomeric/pc stucco do you put on? Have you calculated how much
this technique costs per square foot (I dont really know how much
elastomeric costs, but I hear its not cheap)? Forgive my ignorance,
but a tirolessa is a sprayer? As in:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zOoKBgZ_8E

???

Wow - love hearing about the prickly pear sealant! We have a plenty
of prickly pear here where I live. Please tell me more - do you paint
it on or spray it on? How thick or how many layers? Or are you
adding it to the pc mix like Robert? Is it totally waterproof? Do
you need to reapply after several years, or is it like a stucco? You
just toss the prickly pear and the lime in your pc mixer?

Thanks for sharing your experiences - I look forward to learning more
and sharing my own once I get things rolling.

-Eli
