I've been having side discussions off list with several people about writing a draft papercrete building code.
A name came up that has been unanimous among those I have spoken with.

Chris, I think you'd be the perfect person to take the lead in writing a Draft Papercrete Building Code. Chris will you please do this for us? At the very least will you seriously consider it? Take a moment and think.
From the moment you've joined the group you've been an excellent poster. You're a good writer and seem enjoy learning. You also clearly care about others and want to help. Several times you've offered your services in various efforts to contribute to the group and to the furthering of papercrete.
This is an area where you can help all of us in a very dramatic way. IMHO a papercrete building code will do more to further papercrete than Mike McCain's development of the tow mixer. (Nothing against Mike, I think he's done great things. This just illustrates the huge importance of getting IBC acceptance.) If you want to make a difference, Chris, you'll never get a better opportunity than this.
Chris, if you choose to take this on, you won't be alone. I for one would be willing to rally around you and help you the best that I can. I'm confident others would be willing to step in and contribute as well, but I'll let them speak for themselves.
You should get the chance to help define the roll you're willing to play. I'm suggesting that you become the point man on the code writing project. When someone has something to contribute they'll pass it along to you. There are 600 members in this group as I type this message. That's a big team behind you.
