If you want more instant results (like next morning) mix:
- 3 gals wet paper pulp (by that I mean fill a different five gallon bucket with water and then add enough dry shredded to soak up all the water, then with a drill and a mixing paddle pulp the mixture till it looks like oatmeal)
- 1 gal dry portland cement and mix until you can't make out any paper chips, it is usually best to soak the paper overnight prior to doing any of this. Once the mixture is well mixed.
- 2 gal either sand or clay, your choice, you may have to add a little water at this point, depending on how wet you paper pulp was to start, mix this until a semi wet mixture is obtained.
Pour into your mold or form and if the weather is in the med to high 90's you should be able to knock on it the next morning and it should sound like wood, you might even be able to remove the forms if not the next morning then for sure the next morning.
