Oh this was a very good read. I have to admit that it started out similar to other articles I've read, and I've read a lot!
So Judith's trick of adding fly ash to her papercrete may actually make something stronger than anticipated.
I think there has to be some kind of chemical difference going on with the moist, almost dry mix that is tamped into place. Working with a slurry on the other hand there may be so much water in the mix that it is impossible for the limestone to reach into the crevices in the ash particles because maybe the ash particles crevices are waterlogged!?!? Something to think about! Thanks for sharing this Smitty!
