Even during the worst road conditions this winter and creeping down the hill at 20 miles an hour I knew I could look out over some of the most unspoiled wilderness and sometimes even see Denali 200 miles away and say "Oh yeah I live in the best place in the world". I do have to watch out for moose and wolves and bears when I open the door, but every place has its little quirks.

 
I would LOVE that!  Of course though I've got some nice hunting rifles and just love the old Grizzly Adams kind of thing.  Cold weather? Well, I lived in Des Moines, Iowa before.  I'm sure its colder for longer periods in Alaska at times, or could be, but I weathered just fine in -20 weather :)
