[papercreters] Inspectors

Boys and girls, I sure am glad that I am a pipeline inspector, not a building inspector, some of you folks are tough.
All kidding aside, from what I have learned as an inspector (first certification in 1990), codes are written to (1) protect the public, (2) protect the enviroment, (3) make someone else alot of money. I have to deal with overeducated 'idgits' who can only read out of a book and have NOT a clue of the real world. Sometimes the book does not have the safest answer and they still want you to do it by the book. I have been known to say "OK! Send me an answer to my E-Mail and tell me just how 'You' want it."  :^) You should see them run for town. Most of them will not walk the walk, just CYA.
Anyway I am smiling and ENJOYING all of these comments about inspectors and @#$% codes.
Ya'll have a great day.
