You can also use pvc to make a small dome like the one shown at http://www.nurl.us/6zn . Scroll down to the bottom to see how it works with pvc, forming an Icosaicosadodecahedron. Don't let the long name fool you, it's simple to make. Cover with plastic tarp or other suitable fabric, and spray with papercrete, or hand apply. The prices listed on that site are several years old, so it'll probably cost a bit more than the $20 shown.
