[papercreters] Re: boric acid one more thing

I have used the BoraCare product which is in a glycol solvent. The
product is absorbed through capillary action and a small amount will
penetrate a 2x4 over the course of a year. I wonder whether the
capillary action would take place with papercrete. It seems that it
would not, but I have not tried it. It seems to me that a water soluble
formulation of boric acid (like TimBor) would be evenly distributed
throughout the mixture. Since boric acid is also a herbicide, it would
be wise to capture the excess water from the papercrete mix and use it
again in the following batches. This does interest me and I would
rather use this method than heating antifreeze to nearly 200 degrees,
which can be dangerous if you inhale the fumes.
