Your county falls under state law. Many areas don't have inspectors yet but the permit requirement is still there. Actually October 1 of this year new more stringent rules went into effect. I live in one of those areas without inspection and want to get finished before they figure out how to enforce everywhere.

Greetings, Actually, a lot in Texas depends on where you live. My county still has no inspections, no permits, no enforced rules. In Texas they adopted state wide codes about five years ago and everything plumbing/electrical has to be permitted and inspected, and done by licensed people. NM is the same way. Some parties are pushing for a national code and that will really make it hard to be innovative.------------------------------------ Yahoo!
