You need a special viewer,  likely, to view them on your PC without them being served through the  internet in your common every day browsers.  If you have Real Audio player installed, it will allow you to download  any video format with exception to a new one employed by Youtube for  the High Definition videos (which appears to only be streamable, not  downloadable).  Real Audio has a little icon that pops up when you  hover over a video, if you click on the icon you can download the file  in its native format without any other special software.
