[papercreters] Re: PC and rebar

Hey, if anyone wants to build a papercrete beam into their house, go right ahead. It is your house, not mine. When is the last time anyone looked at someone else's house and agreed with every nitty gritty detail someone else had done to it? Maybe it happens, but I sure haven't witnessed it.

I have stated my opinion that I think papercrete beams aren't the best idea, and explained why. Hopefully a few people have learned something from the resulting debate. That is the point of this group. We share our knowledge and experience. Hopefully people reading the discussions can make up their own minds what they think makes sense for their situation.

In fact, I will be actively cheering on anyone building with papercrete, even if I don't agree with every detail of their construction. I hope every papercrete structure is a success, even if it includes papercrete beams.

For example, Dome houses aren't my cup of tea, but I sure think what Spaceman is doing is very cool. I'll probably never build one, but that doesn't stop me from sucking as much knowledge out of Spaceman's brain as I can fit through the straw I've placed in his ear.

Plese keep building, keep everyone posted, and upload a bunch of pictures.

It's one of the primary methods everyone in this group uses to learn. Me included.
