Hi,  just wondering if any chemists out there can explain WHY the cure time is so much reduced?

i always put acrylic  of some sort ( either PVA glue or waste paint) but what is it actually doing???

concrete chemistry is seemingly complex. i also put Magnesium oxide and clinoptiloloite as per a

recipe for a beautiful Gekko sculpture that is on Tec Eco's site ( a magnesium concrete company

here in Tasmania) i make sculptures with a ferrocement base and papercrete top layer-

i like the way the papercrete feels and it is more easily 'sculptable' than the straight ferrocement

mix ( 3 to 1\ sand to PC) What i don't know is how long they will last- the chickenwire rusting

away inside the figure. Oh, for stainless steel chicken wire! Photo of a work in progress!

cheers, eo
