Hello again
Sorry for the delayed response but i am really busy with the project.
I want to thank for your support, and keep you informed about my progress.
Now i am testing the acoustic properties of different papercrete blocks. I also created an excel file where I keep information about the properties of the specimens i made (different mixes, effect of shrinkage, density, weight difference etc). I will make some diagrams, so the results will be more clear.
Next Tuesday I will start the official testing in the Civil Lab. I will test 40 pressed specimens in compression and split. I was thinking of using a mix of 4:4:2(paper, cement, sand). I know that without sand the mix will be lighter but I dont want to increase the amount of cement. Do you have any other proportion to suggest?
I will also experimentally calculate papercrete΄s Young's Modulus (E).
I know that all these might sound boring to you becaus the information is too technical, but after January I will eventually pass to the design phase.
Unfortunately I dont have enough time to upload the information in the blog but i will do it asap.
Any comments-remarks or suggestions are more than accepted.
