This is an interesting concept. You might want to dig around various
strawbale websites and message boards.
My memory is pretty hazy, but I seem to recall someone using old crappy
garden hose, drilled holes through the sides to perforate it, and
threaded it between bales as they were getting stacked. The idea was
to pump dry air through the bales to dry them. I think he also used
the system to collect air samples from inside the walls and measure the
relative humidity coming out. It's been serveral years and I have no
idea where I read about it. Since it has been several years, it would
be interesting to see what the long term results have been from his
efforts.
