Boric acid is used in cellulose insulation for fireproofing, and I think it also works for insects. I have no idea how much boric acid you would use. The recipe I gave to Mother was for a tow mixer, about five pounds of borax. I really gave up weighing things a long time ago and use a plastic tub that holds the approximate amount. Papercrete is very forgiving of variations in the mix. The source of borax for me is a commercial laundry supply, Three Elephants comes in 30# bags.
