Thanks to all for your responses. You saved us the cost of the
aluminum powder, which I'm sure is not cheap. And set me straight
that foaming the papercrete would NOT add to the R-value, as I
mistakenly thought it would.
So, no, no further experiment, at least in that direction, is
needed. I prefer to learn from others' mistakes than repeat them.
