[papercreters] Eco Hostel

Hey everyone,

Shane here. Yeah, there has been an eco hostel in the works for a few
years. I don't have copies of the plans but have seen them. there are
many guest cabins planned for visitors to stay in. Each will be built
using a different green building material.

They may have looked at the unfinished shed I'm doing for Joyce. Project
on hold until Late spring. rough looking as many of you know but I guess
it gets the message across.

Sean Armstrong is a friend of mine. The development company he works for
bought 100 papercrete blocks from me this year. They are for kids to play
with at one of the housing units they are building. Standard size of 1' x
2' x 5". I upped the cement, added color and rounded the top edges and
sides a bit. We got the idea a couple years ago when my daughter got one
of her friends to haul blocks over to build a couple forts for a water
balloon fight. Joyce talked the company into buying some for kids to
build with.

Anyway this will be a very formal eco hostel. No funk allowed. Although,
we'll see what artistic tweaks may find there way into the various cabins.
I'll keep you guys posted if I hear of any new developments. they
ahven't broken ground yet.

Cheers,
Shane
